Goa State Government (Department of Arts and Culture) has designed and started the Yuva Srishnan Award Scheme to honor the individual young artists of Goa. Under this scheme, the government respects the young individual artists of Goa who have performed very well in the field of art and culture in Goa. Youth Generation Award has been started with the intent of recognizing young artists for their exceptional achievements and extraordinary contributions to artists in the field of art and culture in Goa.
Under the scheme, the Department of Arts and Culture has honored youth in the field of music, dance, drama, folk art, creative photography, painting, craft, sculpture, bhajan / kirtan, literature, and film etc. along with the annual award. The main goal of this scheme is to respect young artists for the contribution of youth in the fields of art and culture in Goa so that young artists can get excellence and encouragement and recognition for their outstanding achievement in the respective field of their art. The state of young artists as young artists. Personal artists between the ages of 25-40 years are eligible for this award.
Objectives of the Yuva Srujan Puruskar scheme in Goa

Benefits of the young artist’s award
- Young artists will be honored with a souvenir or compliment certificate.
- Benefits of financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 / – per person
- The talent of young artists will be recognized in the state.
- Goa will help in promoting art and culture.
Eligibility criteria for the young artist’s award
- Individual performers between the ages of 25-40 years are eligible for this award (only in exceptional cases minimum and maximum 5 years can be exempted in the age)
- The person who has made exceptional contributions in the field of art and culture is eligible to receive the award.
- Artists of Goa, who contributed a minimum of 5 years in their field of art, deserve the award.
- An artist will be honored once only for the Young Generation Award.
- A maximum of 6 persons will be honored with this award every year in the fields of music / dance, drama / diary, folk art, photography / painting, crafts, sculpture, bhajan / kirtan, literature.

How to apply for the Youth artist’s award?
Press releases are issued every year by the Department of Arts and Culture for individuals working in the field of Art and Culture, which invite recommendations of names for the youth creation award.
The Department of Arts and Culture can write to any institution for the youth creation award.
After the recommendations received from the sub-committee, the Director of Art and Culture will approve the concerned artist to receive the Youth Generation Award.
