UP Bhagya Lakshmi Scheme

UP government has launched a scheme under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath for the girls of UP named Bhagya Lakshmi. Under Bhagya Lakshmi Scheme 50,000 Rs will be deposited by the government at the time of girl child’s birth. And 51,00 Rs will be deposited in the name of the mother of a girl child. The purpose of this scheme to educate the girls. Still, people think that the girls are a burden on the society so that the parents of a girl start to thinking about the marriage of them from the time of birth. And this is the main cause of female feticide. Bhagya Lakshmi Scheme is specially made to stop this kind of crime.

Who will take the Advantages of UP Bhagya Lakshmi Scheme

• For the BPL families or families whose annual income is less than 2 lac Rs, can register their girl’s name under Bhagya Lakshmi Scheme.
• For the BPL families who have two girls can avail the scheme but the condition is that the total number of children should not be more than  3.
• Under Bhgya Lakshmi Scheme 50,000 Rs will be deposited by the government at the time of girl child’s birth. And 51,00 Rs will be deposited in the name of the mother of a girl child.
• When the girl will turn the age of 21 years then 2 lac Rs will be given by the government to her parents.

Eligibility Criteria

• Income should be less than 2 lac Rs of the applicant’s family
• Applicant should have his Aadhaar Card and beneficiaries Aadhaar Card as well
• Parents of the girl child should be the resident of UP
• Total number of children should not be more than 3
• The girl’s marriage should not be less than the age of 18 years
• Girl’s immunization should be complete from the health department
• Must be admitted to a government educational institution

The amount provided by the Government under the Bhagya Lakshmi Scheme

• 50,000 Rs will be deposited by the government at the time of girl child’s birth. And 51,00 Rs will be deposited in the name of the mother of a girl child.
• When the girl will enter the class 6th then parents will receive 3,000 Rs as a financial help
• When the girl will enter in the class 8th then 5,000 Rs will be deposited by the govt.
• When the girl will enter the class 10th then parents will receive the amount of 7,000 Rs
• When the girl will enter the class 12th then 8,000 will be deposited by the govt.
• When the girl reaches at the age of 21 her parents will receive total 2 lac Rs

Verification  for the Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana

The registered application will be verified as mentioned earlier. You have to give the correct details to avoid any delay.
