The Utkarsh Bangla Scheme was started by the government of West Bengal (Ministry of Human Resource and Development) with the aim of providing vocational training to school dropouts. The scheme is a welfare-related structure for school dropouts, in Kolkata. Under the following scheme, every youth will get specific training that may range from 400 to 1200 hours in total. The school dropouts will be trained free of charge in tailoring, driving, repairing television and other electronic equipment and beauty courses etc. training will be completely free of cost even no fee required for registration.

  • The Utkarsh Bangla Scheme provides benefits in the form of free vocational training that would help them to gain employment and a better life
  • Key features are to give complete vocational training to all school dropouts by on condition that the training will only be ranging from 400 to 1200 hours free of charge. Under this scheme, beneficiaries will be trained in driving, tailoring, repairing television and other electronic equipment’s, beautician courses etc
  • On successful completion, the courses beneficiaries will be given certificates
  • Utkarsh Bangla Scheme also ensures that the students get the opportunity of campus placements after their training
  • Polytechnic and ITI training to 6 lakh students every year will be provided under the scheme
  • Some of the companies that will provide employment under the scheme are Samsung, Raymond, Berger Paints, Maruti Suzuki, ASSOCHAM (gems and jewelry), and CREDAI

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Utkarsh Bangla Scheme

  1. The following candidates must be born residents of the state of West Bengal
  2. Eligible candidates must be a school dropout

  2. Applicants have to fill in a registration form with complete details
  3. Only after that candidate must upload the required documents
  4. And finally, the applicants will be informed by the acting authority
