The Uttar Pradesh government started a scheme for the women to provide them the financial help by giving them financial aid under this scheme to the women of the state. The scheme is for providing the financial support to the people for the marriage of the girls which belong to the poor background families and also the medical help is also provided to the women of the state, firstly the scheme was named as the Marriage -Sickness plan but in the year 2014 the scheme had to be stopped due to some other reasons.
UP Shadi Anudan Objectives
The main aim of the scheme is to bring about the change in the thinking of the people regarding the birth of the female child in the family. And to create a positive change the government had started such as a wonderful scheme to reduce the burden of the family by giving them financial help during the marriage of the girl so that the birth of girl child can be promoted in the family.
Uttar Pradesh Marriage Grant Scheme Initiation
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath initiated the scheme for the marriage of the girls who belong to the low caste and whose parents can not bear the expenses of the marriage of the girls in the family. The scheme started with the name “grant scheme” to “mass wedding planning”. Under this scheme, the girls whose family lives below the poverty line will get married and no dowry would be given and the expenses of the marriage would be taken by the government. The scheme was also named as Kanyadan Yojana. The scheme will get the help from the central government of India for getting the funds.
