He was born on 1 September 1949 at Narha Panapur Bihar. He was the son of late Sh. Badiya Nath Singh and late Smt. Jai Sundari Devi. He is married to Smt. Shanti Devi. He has one son and one daughter. He is graduated from M.S College from Motihari, Bihar University. Before joining politics he worked as the social worker and agriculturist.
Radha Mohan Singh started his political career in 1967 as a student leader. He elected as the Nagar Parmukh from ABVP in Motihari in 1967. He became the Mandal Secretary Jan Sangh in 1969. He elected the organizational secretary of Jan Sangh East Champaran from Bihar in 1970 to 1977. From 1997 to 1980 he became the General Secretary of BJP East Champaran, Bihar. He selected as the Regional Organising Secretary BJP Muzaffarpur, Bihar from 1980 to 1987. He became the president of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha from 1988 to 1990. From 1990 to 1993, he became the General Secretary of BJP. He became the secretary of State Election Committee of BJP Bihar from 1993 to 2000. He was elected to the 11th Lok Sabha and became the member of the committee on Ministry of Railways. He was re-elected to the 13th Lok Sabha and became the member of the Committee on Commerce in 1999. He selected vice president of BJP Kisan Morcha in 2004 to 2005. In 2006, he appointed the State President of BJP Bihar. In 2009, He re-elected to the 15th Lok Sabha and became the member of the Consultative Committee of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. He became the member of Standing Committee on Energy on 31 August 2009. He became the member of the joint committee on salaries and allowance of members of parliament and member of Railways Convention Committee on 23 September 2009. He was the in charge of the Uttrakhand BJP in 2013. On May 2014, he became the Minister of Agriculture.
As the social worker, he played an important role in the welfare of the Backward Classes. He also involved in the Social and Cultural activities. He was the president of the Vaidyanath Seva Trust. He also became the Vice-President of the Association of Bihar Cricket. He also has a huge interest in cricket.
