Piyush Goyal finished his schooling from Don Bosco High School, Mumbai. He has a degree of B.Com from H.R College of Commerce and Economics Mumbai. He completed his LLB from Government Law College Mumbai. He completed his FCA from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India New Delhi. He holds the second rank in All India CA Exam.
Before joining politics Piyush Goyal was the famous investment banker. He was also appointed as the Director of the Public Sectors Banks from 2001 to 2008. He started his political career by joining BJP in 1984. He became the member of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha. He was appointed as the member of Task Force for interlinking of rivers from 2002 to 2004. He was elected as the member of Rajya Sabha in 2010 and also became the National Treasure of BJP. In 2012 he became the member of the Committee on the Provision of Computers to the members of Rajya Sabha. On May 2014, he was appointed as the Minister of State for Power, Coal, and Energy. In 2017, he replaced Suresh Prabhu and became the Minister of Railways.
Under the Ministry of defense, Piyush Goyal became the member of the Consultative Committee on finance. He is also an active member of IMC [Indian’s Merchant members]. He is also involved with NGO’s. During his long period of 28 years with BJP in Politics, he has served in many important positions. In January 2015, he became the Minister in waiting for US President Barack Obama. On 3 June 2016, he was elected as the BJP Candidate Maharashtra for Rajya Sabha.
