The announced was made by Uttar Pradesh’s deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma. The announcement was made on the day Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath turned 45.

This year, the Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the class 10th exams from March 9 to April 10. There was a slight delay in conducting the exam due to state assembly elections in Punjab, Manipur, Goa, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. The delay in conducting the exam subsequently delayed the date when the final announcement was made – they have an academic schedule to adhere to and this delay may impact it in a dreadful manner.
