Raman Charpak Fellowship-Study in France

The Raman Charpak Fellowship is out of appreciation for two Nobel Laureates in Physics, Prof C.V. Raman, Indian Nobel Laureate, 1930 and Prof Georges Charpak, French Nobel Laureate, 1992. This is a doctoral trade program and is intended to trade understudies for the time of from 2 months to 6 months amongst India and France. Raman Charpak Fellowship is a joint activity by France and India and is there encourage the trading of doctoral understudies between the two nations, to expand the degree and profundity of future engagements in science, innovation, and development. The Raman Charpak fellowship provides experience and exposure to students in the field of science and technology. Students who are interested will be given a chance to carry out their best part of research work in a University / Research Institute based in France or India individually.

Required Eligibility and Conditions for Raman Charpak Fellowship

1. The applicant from India should be an Indian Citizen and he/she should have registered with a recognised university for their PhD program.
2. The candidate must have a Master degree in Science, Technology or Medicine from a recognised University/Institute.
3. There should have a consent from the University of the Applicant for a Foreign Fellowship Program.
4. The candidate has to provide Letter of Recommendation and Agreement from the proposed host supervisor of the Fellowship Lab.
5. The candidate will not be considered for selection if the proposed duration of the research is less than 2 months

Documents Required for Raman Charpak Fellowship

1. The candidates have to submit five pages long research proposal.
2. A CV of two pages with recent photograph on it, the CV should summarise the achievements, research, and publication of 5 important projects.
3. A Letter of Recommendation (LOR) from a PhD supervisor from their research lab.
4. A synopsis of PhD report or projects.
5. An experience letter on the research conducted
6. A scanned copy of passport (Both Front and back side)
7. A recent photograph.
8. NOC from Head of Institution
9. Scanned copy of Master degree certificate
10. Scanned copy of PhD registration letter

Application Procedure

1. The candidates can apply for the Raman Charpak Fellowship through online mode only
2. The candidates will have to apply and register online.
3. The candidates have to submit their application online only; there is no provision of submission through the post. The applications will not be accepted offline.
