The RADP wants to ensure the development of the agriculture growth in the rainfed areas, by which the Rainfed Area Development Programme has been launched in the year 2011-2012. This scheme will be working as sub-scheme of the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY). The main objective is to improve the quality life of the farmers mainly in small and marginal farmers by offering them a complete package of activities to extend farm returns. This scheme has got developed to other 12 states in the year 2012-2013, where they have been allocated with 150 crore, and by the end of March 2013 there was about 15260 clusters have been used with the integrated farming and cropping system covering around RS. 2.62 Lakhs and got benefitted more than 4.0 lakh farmers with this programme.
