What is Nikshay Poshan Yojana?

Every year huge population die due to tuberculosis in India. But the cure for the disease is possible. As a medicine for the disease is found. But medicine alone is not efficient for an ailment. Along with the Drug nutritious food is also required. Ignoring the proper diet can result in death. So the central government has started the scheme for the help of the patients. Nikshay Poshan Yojana is the scheme for the TB patients which will provide financial assistance from a central government.

Features of Nikshay Yojana

The Features of the Nikshay Yojana are as follows:

1. To create a platform for the TB Patient to monitor and assist the Patients.
2. Complete details and records of the patients for the enrolment of the scheme.
3. On the Monthly basis, the TB Patient will get the financial assistance of Rs. 500.
4. The patient will get the financial help each month until the patient gets cured.
5. There are 13 Lakh patients who have enrolled in the scheme.
6. The benefit to the Patient directly by transferring the benefit to the bank account.
7. As the bank account is connected to the Aadhaar card via the direct benefit transfer DBT.
8. The program will be implemented for TB patients under the National Health Mission.

Eligibility Criteria for application

The eligibility criteria for the application for the Nikshay Yojana. The candidate has to fulfill the condition to attain the benefit.

1. Only the patients who are suffering from the Tuberculosis. They have to enroll for the cure under the scheme.
2. The candidate has to enroll for the benefit at the official Nikshay portal.

Documents Required

Which documents are required for Nikshay Yojana?

To claim the benefit of the candidate has to give the proof or the documents which are as follows:

• The certificate from the doctor’s issued to the candidate containing the details of the patient suffering from Tuberculosis.
• Medical certificate along the application form is required to be given.

Registration by Health Centers

How health centers can apply under the scheme?

Health centers can register online for the benefit and treatment to the patient. You can register at the official site. As the link for the same is as follows:

1. Both the government and the non government health centers can register at the official site.
2. Centers interested to register click on the new registration option.
3. Fill the details in the application form about the health center.
4. Then recheck your application.
5. Submit the application form.
6. You will get a unique identification code. different for each health center.
7. The health centers can make use of the code to add or delete the name of the patient at the official site.

Approval of registration

The higher authority or the official will verify the health centers. No immediate permission is not granted on registration. On submission of the application, the official confirmation from District TB officer is given. Then the confirmation certificate is given to the health center.

Health centers are also given confirmation through the SMS Service. Then the centers have to proceed with the procedure of uploading the details of the patient at the portal.

Registration of Patient

Then the health center has to upload the details of the patient of TB came for the treatment at the official site. After the information from the site, the health center has to convey the message to the patient. The health center can also make use of the SMS Service or the Patient details from the official portal.
