Nanji Deshmukh Krishi Sanjeevani Yojna is a project for the farmers launched by the Maharashtra Government. The budget of this project is Rs. 4000 crore. The 70% of the total budget will be fund by WORLD BANK.  This Yojna is for the beneficiaries of the farmers. The objective of this project is to provide the benefits of climate resilient agriculture to the farmers of the state.

This Krishi Yojna will be implemented in 15 Districts and cover 5,142 villages in the state. The famous Social worker NANJI DESHMUKH who has been honored with Padma Vibhushan. He is worked in the different fields such as education, health, and rural development. This Yojna has been named on Nanji Deshmukh. The most drought-affected villages in the state are identified by the Maharashtra Government. A panel of 7 members for this project is formed by the government. This panel worked on to take the new measures for the cultivation of crops depending on the availability of Water.

The main aim of this scheme is to provide suitable ideas for developing the agriculture sectors, to solve the problem of groundwater salinity, to provide a better condition of the fields in the climatic change. This Yojna can be worked on improving the quality of soil for producing the variety of food grains. Krishi Yojna will totally focus on the methods of cultivation and agriculture the fields by new developing techniques used by the Panel. Those farmers who are facing the problem of climate change will be covered under this Yojna.

The govt. will plan to give the benefits of this Yojna in the financial year 2018-2019 and continued till 2023 to 2024. Under this Yojna, the farmer can adopt the new pattern for cropping the fields. This Yojna makes the Maharashtra State fully drought free. The problem of drought faced by poor and small farmer make a trouble for them.

The principal secretary of agriculture and finance will talk to WORLD BANK officials and decide the rate of return the payment period.
