After completing 100 days by the Kerala government, the Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan has announced plans to provide 2 lakh homeless or non-landed households in the next five years. The aim of the government under this scheme is to make the house available to those people. Those who do not have their own home or land. All landless and homeless families will be rehabilitated in the state of Kerala in the next five years. This project has been implemented by Department of Local Self Government and Social Welfare Department of Kerala. The government has planned to provide facilities in housing clusters like health centres like the elderly, infant homes, study rooms, libraries, computer facilities and skill development centres. Priority is given to families run by women, for the selection of beneficiaries. Single women, sick or elderly persons, girls under the age of 15 years and victims of riots, natural disasters and domestic violence.
