The Krishi Gurukul Yojana was launched by the government of Maharashtra under which farmers are given specific information about the latest technology. Under the scheme, 3 farmers per district will be selected as role models to share and guide information to 25 others with their own experience, adopted advanced techniques in the field of agriculture and floriculture. Their role model trainer and the trainee farmer will also be paid honorarium under the scheme.
The announced was made in the 2016-17 financial budget year and is currently active. The farmers who have already opted for the scheme are being trained with the techniques needed for the success of the scheme.

Eligibility for Krishi Gurukul Yojana
- Only farmers are eligible for the scheme
- Must be a resident a Maharashtra state

There are no such application forms. The selected farmers will have to organize such campaigns under which they will educate 25 other farmers voluntarily
