Girl Child Protection Scheme is launched by the Women Development Child Welfare & Disabled Welfare Department on 8th March 2005. The main objective of Girl Child Protection Scheme is to provide protection to the girl child and spread awareness in the society against female aborticide as well as women empowerment through education. This scheme helps to protect the rights of the girl child and provide social and financial empowerment to a girl child.
Benefits that are available under the Girl Child Protection Scheme?
- In the primary stage from the time of birth of the child, cash would be saved in the financial account of the mother
- This plan will cover state’s populace
- On the off chance that the young lady is to fail in the twelfth standard or equal exam, she will be qualified for definite instalment after fulfilment of 20 years
- The plan gives assistance to young lady youngsters in poor families and help in their studies
- The administration will make available a fixed deposit of INR. 50,000 for families with one girl child and INR. 25,000 for each girl child for families with more than one girl children
Eligibility of Girl Child Protection Scheme
- This scheme is eligible only for those families with only single girl child or only two girls
- If Girl Child born before 03-01-2013 then total annual incomes of girl child family should below Rs.20, 000/- per annum for rural areas and Rs.24, 000/- per annum for urban areas and if girl child born on or after 03-01-2013 then total annual incomes of girl child family will have to below Rs.40, 000/- per annum for rural areas and Rs.48, 000/- per annum for urban areas
- To begin with, the money will only go to those families having a single young lady from the age between 0 to 3 years
- If a young lady is impaired over 80% she would also be eligible to getting advantages of this plan yet her parent yearly wage does not surpass Rs.1.00 lakh per annum

- Attested copy of Birth Certificate
- Attested copy of White Ration Card
