Chandigarh Police department has launched Online FIR Portal for the citizens of Chandigarh. Now every citizen can register his or her complaint through the mobile phone within minutes. Citizens of Chandigarh can register their complaints through the mail to the officers of Chandigarh.

First of all open the Online portal of Chandigarh Police
- Now click on the Services Rendered
- Now click on Complaint Registration then a screen will show you a picture like this given below for your reference
Now you can register your complaint through the mail anyone of the Police Officers’ mail Id.

FIR Copy Download
Open the Chandigarh Online FIR Portal and then follow a few steps given below:
- Click on Services Rendered
- Next click on the FIR Copy Download and now you can see the picture as given below for your reference
- Now click on the last option Download application form for obtaining an attested copy of FIR and now you can see the picture of FIR Copy as given below for your reference and you can download the form as well from the Portal.

FIR Search Status on Chandigarh Online FIR Portal
- Click on Services Rendered
- Next click on the FIR Copy Download and now you can see the picture as given below for your reference
- Now click on the First option Download FIR Online from 30.05.2031 to 08.05.2017 and your screen will show you picture as given below:
- Fill all the details as you can see in the picture given above
- Enter the name of the Police Station (you can select from the drop menu on your right-hand side)
- Enter the FIR Number
- FIR Date From(Mandatory Field/Necessary Field)
- FIR Date to(Mandatory Field/Necessary Field)
- Now select Accused /Victim/Complaint or None
- Enter the name
- In the end, you have to click on the Search button

- Click on Services Rendered
- Next click on the FIR Copy Download and now you can see the picture as given below for your reference
- Click on the second option Download FIR Online from 09.05.2017 onwards and your screen will show you picture as given above.
“Know Your Case” Scheme
“Know Your Case” is a unique scheme which has been launched in all Chandigarh Police Station from the date 1 June 2013. The purpose of this is to bring transparency and responsibility in Police Functioning. The petitioner of a complaint has the right to know the status of the complaints of the case. For this motive, 2nd Saturday of every month has been fixed as “Know Your Case” day. As people don’t have time on working days to visit the Police Station so they can visit on 2nd Saturday of every month to know about the status of their cases.

Public Window Complaint Status
Chandigarh Police is providing a service of the public window for the citizens of Chandigarh they can submit their written complaint at the Public Window established at the ground floor entrance of the Chandigarh Police Headquarters, Sector 9 Chandigarh. Anyone can submit their complaint on the spot. After submission of the complaint, anyone can check the status of complaint by entering the number of application or complaint.
To know Public Window Complaints Status
- Go to the Service Rendered
- Next click on Public Window Complaints Status and a picture will appear on your screen like this given below
- Now click on the link given below as you can see in the picture above.
- Now a picture will appear like this on your screen given below
- Now enter the Application Number as you can see in the picture for Ex: yyyy22222(203122222) means the first four character of the year and next five for file number.
- Now click on submit.
And finally, you can check the status of the complaint.
