Public Distribution System provide the food security and poverty alleviation by providing the essential needs related to food items at the reasonable price for the consumers. Department gives food items like rice,wheat,sugar,salt and Kerosene oil under Targeted Public Distribution System of India.

Types of Ration card

Thee different types of Ration card in Arunachal Pradesh are mentioned as below. Check each type of the ration card to know the details about each card type.

APL (Above Poverty Line)

APL families will be issued with the Pink Colored Ration card. The people will be issued with the ration card if their family income is less than Rs 10000. No food items are provided to the people  who belong to the APL families.

BPL (Below Poverty Line)

BPL card is issued to the people who have income less than Rs. 10000 and has been the resident of the state will be provided with the Dark green colored ration card. On the basis of the ration card the esssential food commodities are provided to the people at the subisidized prices.

AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojana)

The AAY means the Antyodaya Anna Yojana card are issued to the families which are poorest and can’t even afford the daily food items which are required for the living of the human beings and those people are provided the ration at the subsidized price and the people own the Yellow card.

Annapurna

The AY means the  Annapurna beneficiaries people are provided with the Light green card. These cards are issued to the people who are above the age of 65 years and they belongs to the poor conditions that they can’t afford the livelihood.

  •  2,19,273 families  APL cards
  • 60,771 families with BPL cards
  • 38,000 families with AAY cards
  • 4761 persons with Annapurna cards

Documents Required

In the state Arunachal Pradesh if you are interested to apply the ration card then you should have the following documents which you have to submit along the application form of the Ration card application.

  • Date of Birth Proof
  • Address proof can be one of the following
  1. Electricity bill
  2. Water bill
  3. Telephone bill
  4. Passport
  • Group photograph of Family and it should be passport size
