As the country is suffering from a poor condition of the farmers. The Andhra Pradesh government has started the scheme Rythu Runa Mafi Yojana to benefit the poor farmer of the Andhra Pradesh. It was a demanding situation for the AP government. The Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh decided to waive off the loan of the farmers. The scheme was launched in the year 2014 and its first phase was initiated on the 11th dec 2014 whereas the second phase was completed on March 27, 2017. The third phase was also announced in the same year by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister on October 9, 2017

Rythu Runa Mafi Yojana Objectives
The objective of the Rythu Runa Mafi Yojana is to make its farmer loan free to reduce the burden of the farmer. As we see a number of protest by the farmer to waive off the loan so this is the type of scheme which will do the same for the farmer of the Andhra Pradesh. As it is only a state government program which will benefit the farmer of the Andhra Pradesh.

Rythu Runa Mafi Yojana Budget
The scheme will waive off the loan of the certain farmer which are selected for the scheme. Under this scheme, the loan of the farmer would be cut down. The farmer will have to bear the only certain amount of loan whereas the rest of the loan will be paid by the government. Under this scheme, the government has set up a budget of nearly 3600 crores to implement the scheme for the benefit of the farmer of the Andhra Pradesh.

The Interest rate of the loan will also be reduced to help the farmer to cope with the poor circumstances they are suffering from. It is of great benefit to the farmer now they have to bear a certain amount of loan that is also with less interest rate. It is expected that this year in the third phase the 10% of the interest rate of the loan will be waived off.

Rythu Runa Mafi Yojana Phases
The Rythu Runa Mafi yojana started by the government will be completed in the phases as the government too cannot bear the complete expenses of the loan in a single go. As mentioned earlier the two phases of the scheme have been already completed. The first phase was initiated on the 11th dec 2014 whereas the second phase was completed on March 27, 2017. Now the third phase of the scheme of the scheme is expected to take place on 9th October same year. Under the third phase of the Rythu Runa, the interest of 10% for two years will be waived off. In this phase, almost 36.72 lac of farmers will be benefited.

Only the farmer of the Andhra Pradesh are eligible for the scheme and their loan will be waived off. To get the benefit of the scheme you have to fulfill the below-mentioned criteria to get the benefit.
- You should be the permanent resident of the Andhra Pradesh.
- You should have the domicile of the Andhra Pradesh.
- You should also have the Ration card.
- You will get the benefit of loan wavier if you have taken the loan before 2014.
- Only a few selected farmer will get the benefit of the scheme.
