Aadhaar Card- Issued by Government of India

Aadhaar card is based on the biometric and demographic data of the person It is 12 digit identification number issued to all the resident of India. This card is issued by Government of India. The main aim of AADHAAR Card is to provide Universal Identity to all the Indian, the AADHAAR programme was launched in 2009 by the central government.
UIDAI-Unique identification authority of India manages the functioning of Aadhaar Card Numbers. The UIDAI established under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in January 2009 by the Indian Government. It is worked under the Planning Commission of India. The data or personal details of an individual is collected by the UIDAI. It is clarified by the Home Ministry in June 2017 that the Aadhaar Card is not a Valid document for traveling in Bhutan and Nepal.
The center of UIDAI is located at IMT-Industrial Model Township, Manesar. It was inaugurated on 7 January 2016 by the CM of Haryana Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Mr. Nilesh Nilekani was appointed as the head of the project by the Government. He resigned from the post of chairman in March 2014. An IAS officer Vijay Madan taken the responsibilities of the project.
The ration card, bank statement or passbook, passport, voter ID card, Driving License are the documents accepted by UIDAI as an ID proof. Applying for the passport, the Aadhaar card is the valid ID proof.
Aadhaar Card is used as the unique identification proof. It can be used for the multiple uses. It can be served as the age proof, address proof, and ID proof. It is a versatile card and used for all government services. It is an important document and used to open a bank account, for LPG subsidy, Mobile Verification, disbursing the EPF- Employee Provident fund directly in the bank account, receipt of the monthly pension, and used as a Digital Life Certificate.

To Download e-Aadhaar please visit-www.uidai.gov.in the official website of UIDAI. Choose EID/UID under the online services of Aadhaar. Enter your full name, e-mail or mobile number, and PIN code etc. You get OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP number and click on “validate and download”. The E-Aadhaar card will be downloaded.
In conclusion, the Aadhaar Card is mandatory in all places. A residing person in India is required to enroll for Aadhaar. By 31 March 2018, the Supreme Court of India has sanctioned the linking Aadhaar numbers with services and schemes. A people can take the benefit of the schemes order by Government of India with Aadhaar card.
